Race for time...Barrel Racing Nisga'a Owl Man Pannel
17" x 22" (large pannel) 14" x14" (medium pannel)
Square pannels look best when framed. I am still learning how to frame my creatons in metal frames so that they can be hung/suspended near a window.
CEDAR STUFF... |
~The Cedar Tree is considered a "TREE OF LIFE" to the Northwest Coast First Nations~

TRADITIONAL HAT (red cedar)
Here is an, almost finished, Red Cedar hat. As you can see, I implemented a different style of weaving to finish the rim of the hat.
<THIS HAT IS SOLD ( You can still order one in this style)

TRADITIONAL HAT (red cedar)
A finished Red Cedar Hat (rim is different than the hat above and most common on hats).
THIS HAT IS GONE, it was a gift for someone.( You can still order one in this style) >

MY FIRST HAT (red and yellow cedar)
Wow did this ever take, what felt like, forever to make! It ended up looking like the ones our people made in the old days before there were hat molds.
<I made it in 2005, and was taught by Marcie Baker, of the Squamish Nation. I gave it to my father for a gift.
**This is a hard hat to replicate but can be done!
Another Style HAT(red cedar)...
I didn't make this particular hat, it was a gift to me but I can make hats in this style>
BASKET (red cedar)
<Here is a medium sized berry basket; with an abalone shell button embelishment.
BASKET (red cedar)
Here is a completely twined red cedar bark basket. These take longer and are way more tedious to create than the weaved baskets but they look beautiful when they are finished >

HEADBAND (red cedar)
Here is a traditional headband, that is used in ceremonies and dances. They can also be <used on special occasions, like weddings and feasts.
TWINED VASE (red cedar)
Here is a red cedar twined vase. I also made the cedar roses in the vase and they can be sold seperately.
Vases seem to be the most popular "gift" item and the roses are nice for graduation ceremonies and weddings>
PAINTINGS... |
Eachof the paintings that are sold, inlcude a story of the painting and an artist biography. Paintings can be commissioned based on your specific story.

This is a fun, colorful piece that took me a while to come up with the crest designs but was totally worth it.

; the Eagle, Raven, Wolf, and Killer Whale. I am from the Eagle Clan.
This was just a fun piece that I made to hang in my office at work.
